Challenges
A foreign-owned fish farming company underwent negative media exposure and accusations of water pollution. Although studies had suggested that the company did not cause any contamination, criticisms remained and escalated which brought high risks to company’s reputation and operation.

Our Approach
Kiroyan Partners supported the company by combining proactive and pre-emptive approach through stakeholder mapping, communication strategy formulation, and media training. In addition to these, we assisted the company by providing advisory assistance in implementing the strategy as well as facilitating meetings with key stakeholders such as local government officials and local media.

Results
The company improved its internal and external communications as well as increased its readiness to strategically deal with the problem. We also managed to help the company establish positive relationships with community leaders in the area and explore opportunity of stakeholder partnership to support its operation.
