Kiroyan Partners is committed to maintaining a workplace that is safe, respectful, fair, and inclusive. We recognize the dignity and rights of every individual and expect our people to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and respect in all aspects of their work.
Our commitment is reflected in our internal policies and employment practices addressing workplace conduct, employee grievances, working arrangements, recruitment, and the prevention of bullying, harassment, discrimination, modern slavery, and child exploitation.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Maintaining a workplace where individuals are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
- Providing a working environment that is safe, healthy, and conducive to professional and personal well-being.
- Preventing and addressing bullying, harassment, discrimination, modern slavery, and child exploitation.
- Respecting employees’ rights in relation to working conditions, leave, health and safety, and other applicable employment matters.
- Providing channels through which workplace concerns and grievances can be raised and addressed fairly.
- Promoting professional conduct and mutual respect in both internal and external interactions.
Our policies are designed to support an environment in which individuals can contribute professionally without fear of unfair treatment or inappropriate conduct.
Respect, Dignity and Equal Treatment
Kiroyan Partners does not accept bullying, harassment, discrimination, or other conduct that undermines an individual’s dignity or creates an unsafe or hostile working environment.
Our Anti-Bullying, Harassment, Discrimination, Modern Slavery & Child Exploitation Policy establishes this commitment explicitly and applies without exception to members of the KP team, including Directors, permanent employees, interns, project officers, and technical advisors. It also extends to relevant parties interacting with Kiroyan Partners, including clients, guests, partners, suppliers, and other third parties.
We expect respectful conduct not only in the physical workplace, but also in settings connected with work, including company events, conferences, training, business travel, client activities, and electronic or other professional communications.
Safe and Supportive Working Environment
We seek to create working arrangements that support both professional performance and employee well-being.
Our Hybrid Working Policy incorporates well-being considerations into how work is organized, including attention to employees’ health, reasonable communication hours, rest between work activities, respect for annual leave, compensatory leave, and opportunities for recovery following work outside normal working hours.
Employees experiencing well-being concerns are also encouraged to discuss their circumstances with Management so that appropriate follow-up can be considered.
Fair and Responsible Employment Practices
We seek to apply clear and consistent principles in managing employment relationships, from recruitment and appointment through to ongoing employment.
Our employment policies provide frameworks for recruitment and permanent employee appointment, workplace responsibilities, performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures. In determining permanent appointments, for example, the Company considers factors including length of service, performance, compliance with Company Regulations, loyalty, and professional attitude.
Our broader employment framework also provides for employee benefits and working arrangements intended to support a fair and sustainable working environment.
Respect for Employee Rights
Kiroyan Partners recognizes employees’ rights to raise concerns relating to their working conditions and treatment.
Our Employee Grievance Mechanism provides a structured means for employees to raise concerns relating to unfair treatment, harassment or discrimination, health and safety conditions, violations of company rules or policies, and employment-related rights such as wages, leave, and other applicable entitlements.
Employees are encouraged to seek constructive resolution where appropriate, with formal grievance procedures available where concerns cannot be resolved informally. The mechanism is intended to ensure that complaints are heard, reviewed objectively, and addressed fairly and professionally.
Prevention of Exploitation and Abuse
Kiroyan Partners considers bullying, harassment, discrimination, modern slavery, and child exploitation unacceptable.
Our relevant policy establishes preventive and reporting measures addressing these forms of conduct and provides for appropriate action where violations are substantiated. Sanctions may be applied in accordance with the applicable Company Regulations and the seriousness of the violation.
Responsible Working Practices
We also recognize that a respectful workplace includes responsible expectations around how people work together.
Our Hybrid Working Policy promotes responsible flexibility, effective planning and communication, appropriate rest, respect for colleagues taking annual leave, and responsible use of work equipment and technology.
For example, employees are expected to respect colleagues who are taking annual leave and not contact them about work matters except where genuinely urgent and unavoidable. The policy also provides for additional rest following certain instances of work outside normal hours.
Raising Concerns
We encourage individuals to raise concerns when they experience or observe conduct that may be inconsistent with our workplace standards or applicable policies.
Concerns may be raised through Kiroyan Partners’ Employee Grievance Mechanism and other established reporting channels. Our grievance framework provides for direct discussion and an Open-Door approach before formal escalation where appropriate, while ensuring that employees retain the right to submit a formal grievance.
Concerns relating specifically to bullying, harassment, discrimination, modern slavery, or child exploitation are addressed through the relevant reporting and case-handling procedures established under our applicable policy.
Accountability
Respectful and responsible conduct is a shared responsibility.
We expect everyone working with Kiroyan Partners to understand and comply with the standards applicable to their role and to contribute to a workplace based on integrity, fairness, respect, and professionalism.
Where violations occur, Kiroyan Partners may take appropriate action in accordance with the applicable policies and Company Regulations. The measures applied will take into account the nature and seriousness of the conduct concerned.
