Context
A government institution in Indonesia was tasked with communicating climate finance initiatives, including access to international funding mechanisms. While the institution held a critical mandate, its positioning within the fiscal domain created challenges in conveying relevance and authority on environmental issues.
Challenge
Climate finance remained a relatively underdeveloped and technical topic within Indonesia’s public discourse. At the same time, stakeholders—including media and potential beneficiaries—faced uncertainty regarding the institution’s role and credibility in managing climate-related initiatives. Without a clear communication strategy, there was a risk of limited engagement and low visibility of the program.
Our Approach
Kiroyan Partners developed a structured outreach strategy to strengthen both positioning and engagement. This included identifying priority stakeholders and defining communication pathways to reach them effectively. We supported content development to translate technical concepts into accessible narratives, alongside targeted media engagement to increase visibility. In parallel, we strengthened internal capability through media training and workshops, enabling key personnel to communicate more confidently and consistently.
Impact
The institution established a clearer and more credible communication approach for its climate finance initiatives. The outreach strategy was adopted as a guiding framework for implementation, while increased media interest contributed to broader recognition of climate finance as a relevant public issue. Enhanced internal capability further supported sustained communication efforts beyond the engagement period.
