Jennifer Lie

Jennifer has always been interested in helping other people connect with each other. To pursue her education in communication, she departed to Australia and received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Deakin University with distinction. She also gained some experience in Australia by interning at two notables public relations agencies in Australia, Mango Communications and Thrive PR, where she learned more about media relations and content writing.

Prior to joining Kiroyan Partners, Jennifer volunteered for a not-for-profit organization, Indonesian Christian Church (ICC), as their Social Media Coordinator, where she helped them develop and manage the day-to-day operations of their social media accounts, resulting in a 200 and 300 percent increase in their reach and engagement rate respectively.

She completed three internships in communication, two of which were in Australia (Mango Communications and Thrive PR), where she delved deeper into brand activation and media relations. At her internship at Thrive PR, she was tasked to assist with the local media liaison of a region-wide communication campaign to help fundraise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital, Good Friday Appeal. She also has completed an internship at Kiroyan Partners in 2016, where she learned more about Indonesian socio-political issues and public affairs.

During her study, Jennifer also worked as a Freelance Journalist in a local community magazine, BUSET Magazine, reporting Indonesian socio-political news and local Indonesian community events and updates. Additionally, she volunteered in several student association’s committees, such as PPIA Deakin University, Khatulistiwa (a collaborative event to promote Indonesian entrepreneurs in Australia), Deakin College student committee, and Deakin College’s Peer Assisted Learning Mentor (PALM).
