Biography
Farahdibha is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in communication for development and public health. She has been actively involved in advocating for maternal and child health, particularly through her work in behavior change communication and infant and young child feeding programs. She has led various women organization and been involved in Indonesia Women Council since 2014 and was appointed as one of G20 Indonesia Delegate for women equality and empowerment issues. For the past 9 years, she actively participated at the UN Commission Status on Women at UN Headquarter New York, United States of America.
Experience
Farahdibha’s professional journey includes significant roles such as Behavior Change Communication at Mercycorps for Maternal and Child Health Program and Infant and Young Child Feeding Program. She has also served as a lecturer, imparting knowledge on health communication, health promotion, and community empowerment.
Her expertise extends to research, where she has conducted studies on various aspects of breastfeeding, including mothers’ self-confidence during the Covid19 pandemic. Farahdibha has been a sought-after resource and speaker at numerous national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences, addressing critical issues related to maternal and child health, nutrition, and breastfeeding promotion.
Among others, she contributed her expertise at Indonesia’s Nutrition Emergency Response Trend at Oslo; Infant Feeding Situation in Indonesia at Bangkok; Inappropriate Promotion of Baby Food in Indonesia at New Delhi; Mother Support Indicator of World Breastfeeding Trends Initiative at Luang Prabang; and Indonesia’s IYCF Training Lesson-Learn at Johannesburg,
In 2007, she co-founded the Indonesia Breastfeeding Mother Association and has been instrumental in influencing health policies through her active participation in drafting the Indonesia Law Amendment on Health no.36/2009 and Government Decree no.33/2012 on Exclusive Breastfeeding in Indonesia.
Farahdibha is currently completing her PhD at IPB University, with a major in communication for development and a minor in health communication. Her academic pursuit aligns with her extensive professional experience, providing her with a robust theoretical framework to complement her practical knowledge in the field.
