Biography
Dita is a seasoned environmental and sustainability consultant with over 12 years of experience. Her deep-rooted passion for environmental conservation was cultivated early on, growing up in Lampung where her father’s expertise in urban planning exposed her to the complexities of natural resource management. A skilled communicator with a proven track record of delivering impactful results, her career trajectory is marked by a consistent focus on driving positive environmental impact including through digital activism. Her passion for nature, humanity, and environmental stewardship enhances Kiroyan Partners’ capacity to deliver exceptional results.
Background:
Dita began her professional journey in 2008 as a Communication Officer at WWF-Indonesia, under the Global Forest and Trade Network program that focuses on driving improvements on sustainable timber-based products, not only in Indonesia, but around the world. In her role, she worked with global brands like IKEA, Walmart, and Faber-Castell and obtained invaluable insights into sustainable business practices.
Following her tenure at WWF, Dita successfully transitioned into independent consulting, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as UNDP-Indonesia, PEMSEA (Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia), Knowledge Sector Initiative, and EUPOP (European Union Policy and Outreach Partnership). Her latest portfolio was working for an Indonesian research-based think tank that focuses on climate change and decarbonization.
Dita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Indonesia and a Master’s degree in Marketing Communication from LSPR Communication and Business Institute. Her thesis focus was environmental journalists’ role within gatekeeping process in social media era. While pursuing her master’s degree, she also wrote a research paper about understanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) in ASEAN.
