Biography
Aisya has a profound passion for climate and sustainability issues, dedicating her focus to this vital field. As an awardee of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2021, she studied at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), where she delved into the university’s Farm-to-Fork movement and honed her expertise in environmental sustainability. She also collaborated with a professor on her thesis emphasizing sustainability practices.
Joining Kiroyan Partners in 2024, Aisya’s relentless drive to learn and excel in diverse environments, as well as her commitment to making a positive impact in sustainability has been an invaluable addition to the Kiroyan Partners’ consulting team.
Experience
Prior to joining Kiroyan Partners, she served as the Climate and Program Officer at one of the largest grassroots foreign policy groups in the Indo-Pacific. In this role, she managed sessions at an Indonesia’s premier climate forum as well as directed over 10 high-level discussions and convened North-South dialogues on climate stability.
During her tenure there, she also contributed to a climate book featuring ministers, diplomats, researchers, activists, private sector representatives, journalists, and youths—which was later distributed to coalitions of Indonesia’s presidential candidates and students across the country to promote informed decision-making among influential circles.
Her exposure in her previous work honed her ability to navigate the complexities of diverse viewpoints, deepening her understanding on the importance of data-driven decision making while fostering a diplomatic approach to balancing competing interests. Therefore, she sees Kiroyan Partners as the ideal platform to translate her knowledge into impactful actions that resonate with high-level stakeholders and drive meaningful change.
Beyond her professional work, she actively participates in a youth organization that raises awareness about access to education in Frontier, Outermost, and Least Developed (3T) regions in Indonesia.
