Dear All 2024 EWC RANA Applicants,
The R-Adhikarya ‘Niche’ Award (RANA) is granted to young people who have developed disruptive ideas and display innovative, “niche” thinking and who plan to pursue these in their studies and future careers. It expressly recognizes that daring to think differently is crucial to solving important contemporary problems and/or future societal needs.
Unfortunately, no RANA awardee will be named for 2024. Despite the being a number of very impressive individuals in the applicant pool, there was not sufficient alignment between those receiving either the Graduate Degree Fellowship or the Foundation Scholarship at EWC (a prerequisite for being eligible for RANA) and RANA’s stated requirement and purpose.
