Jannus O. Hutapea

Jannus brings more than 20 years of professional experience in the sustainable development of Global Reporting Index and Triple-Bottom-Line, Good Corporate Governance encompassing strategic areas of government relations, public relations, community relations and social engagement, corporate and marketing communications, corporate social responsibility and compliance.

Prior to joining Kiroyan Partners in April 2017, Jannus served as Director for Legal, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary at PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk. Assuming this executive position for more than a decade, Jannus has been widely credited for his instrumental role in ensuring the successful business transformation to launch Holcim Indonesia, formerly known as PT Semen Cibinong Tbk. His strong agility in corporate management was also already apparent during his occupation as a Manager of Public Relations and External Affairs at the Coca-Cola Company in Indonesia. Under his leadership, the company is recognized as a big multinational corporation with comprehensive understanding of local and national aspiration in retail trading, consumers, social and environmental issues.
He began his career as a journalist and member of the press club of the presidential palace, the parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta. At the same time, he also served as English news broadcaster at Nihon Hoso Kyokai Japanese public television and radio broadcasting, Tokyo, Japan, and actively involved in the Jakarta Foreign Correspondent Club in Indonesia, as well as member of PWI (Indonesian Press Association). Following his extensive journalistic background, Jannus has built a broad network of media contacts comprising prominent and influential media and journalists across regions in Indonesia. He has also developed his proficiency in communications sciences and practices as a lecturer at the London School of PR, Indonesia and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Communications at University of Indonesia. Moreover, with vast understanding of Indonesian social and political landscape, Jannus has developed a strerling reputation for his ability to build and maintain good relations with government, media, and communities at all level.

Jannus graduated in Social Science from Adventist University of Indonesia, Master of Mass Communications from Tokyo Nihon Institute in Tokyo, Japan, and Doctor Honoris Causa of Social and Humanity Philanthropy from the Philippines University of Adventist, Philippines.
